We are a team of seasoned founders, operators, and investors with deep expertise in telecom, data centers, and clean energy.
Since 2020, NosTerra Ventures has advanced our vision of a world with abundant, low-cost, and clean energy. We believe entrepreneurship and markets are the most effective drivers for that vision, and we act through thought leadership, advocacy, education, and early-stage syndicate investing.
Now, we are accelerating that work with NosTerra Venture Capital, a venture firm dedicated to the data center opportunity.
Theo has spent his career in renewable energy and tech, with experience ranging from early stage startups through to Google. With a focus on strategy and go-to-market, he’s inspired and driven by the ability of great teams to use the speed and power of business to help solve our world’s biggest challenges. Theo holds a B.A. from Harvard University and an MBA and an MS from the University of Michigan.

Joe Helfrich

Joe is a serial entrepreneur, investor, and advisor who has built and exited enterprise SaaS companies in legal and financial services. He has led investments, M&A, and turnarounds that significantly increased shareholder value. Passionate about aligning capital with ingenuity, he now tackles global challenges. Joe holds a B.A. from Richmond and a J.D. from George Washington University.
Richard Greenwald

Richard is a two-time CEO with 30 years of leadership experience in organizations addressing critical national issues, including environmental policy, workforce, education, and violence prevention. His career spans Capitol Hill, policymaking, and hands-on implementation, combining strategic vision with practical execution. Richard holds degrees from Columbia University’s SIPA and Connecticut College.
Dave Welch
Executive Venture Partner
Dave is a passionate entrepreneur dedicated to solving Grand Challenges through innovation. He is a multi-time founder with two IPOs, and a longtime investor in the tech and healthcare fields. Dave holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Delaware and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University. He currently sits on the advisory boards of Cornell University and Caltech.
Marty Lagod
Venture Partner
Marty, a Silicon Valley entrepreneur and investor for 40 years, has founded, led, and advised over 15 companies in renewable energy, resilient infrastructure, and sustainable agriculture. Among others, he co-founded Firelake Capital, a cleantech VC firm active from 2002-2021, and Spring Free EV, advancing EV adoption. Marty holds an Economics degree from UNC Chapel Hill and a JD from Vanderbilt.
Joyce Dickerson

With nearly two decades in sustainability, strategy, and operations, Joyce leverages technology to tackle environmental and social challenges. With deep expertise in data center sustainability, Joyce has led projects that saved millions of dollars while reducing carbon footprints. A published author and award recipient, she thrives on innovation, efficiency, and impact. At Google, she led the Global Data Center Sustainability and was a Global Sustainability Fellow. Joyce is a Stanford alum.
Gina Moore
Advisor
Gina is a founding Partner of AJO Vista and was an investment leader there for two decades. Gina’s focus at AJO was quantitative equity, and, at its peak AJO managed $30 billion in U.S., International, and Emerging Markets equities. She has held roles ranging from portfolio manager to co-CEO. She serves as executive chair of Revolution School, an innovative independent high school in Philadelphia.
John Kremer
Advisor
John, a Silicon Valley veteran, brings 30 years of experience in startups, technology, and business development. John is the CEO of Rizzle.com and is the co-founder of NosTerra Ventures. John was previously VP at Adobe, where he helped grow Digital Media revenue from $3B to $12B, and also held executive positions at JP Morgan Chase and Yahoo!. John is a Stanford GSB and Cornell graduate.
